Fergie tracking £15m Agbonlahor.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is on the trail of Aston Villa’s £15million-rated striker Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Ferguson has ordered regular reports on the 21-year-old Birmingham-born player, who is on the verge of a full England cap.
A regular in Stuart Pearce’s England Under 21 side, Agbonlahor’s pace and goals – he has six in the Premier League this season – have attracted the attention of the champions.
Villa are anxious to hold onto their prized asset who is also being closely watched by Arsenal.
Both United and the Gunners know that they will have to wait until the summer to make any move for the rising Villa star.
That would be no good for Ferguson, who is mulling over bringing in another striker during the January transfer window.
Last season Fergie brought in the experienced Henrik Larsson on loan and ideally would like to do something similar.
Much will depend on whether the injury jinxed Louis Saha can remain fit. -

But i think MU needs a centre forward kind of striker, this guy is similar to the ones they already have, and it not so suitable for being the lone striker i feel.

This guy is good. Not only is he very fast, he is also very young at 21... Although i am not sure he will cost $15m but even if he does, he will still have after sale value for the next 10 yrs... Getting him is like getting ready to replace Saha (Which is a must). Even if he is used as a sub, a sub must be useful and not just another ordinary player. His speed makes him a very useful player to have on the bench and best of all, he is English too so if the quota rule come into play... he would make things so much more easilier...

They may be in debt but it doesn't mean they can't afford to buy new players. Sound financial management and planning has been the cornerstone for United's achievements over these last 20 yrs. They didn't became a club valued at $1 billion for no reason... Their debt isn't a big problem or they wouldn't have spent $50m in the new season on new players. And in July 2006, they announced a refinancing package the result of this new financing plan will be a 30% reduction of annual payments. Every business needs to reinvest in order to remain vibrant and profitable, it just how they manage it that matters.
The fact that the bank was willing to refinance their £660 million debt shows the confident they had in getting their money back.
They may be in debt but they are as healthy as other clubs as they are far more profitable than these other clubs... Investing in players is the most basic in order for the club to stand any chance to remain successful. And its a good thing that The Glazer family understand this and supportive of it unlike the 2 Pool bosses who continued with its club old chairman and yet not supportive of him or their manager. -
