  Actually to me I won't say Keano was on the decline in his last days of his career. I would guess his relationship with Fergie had broken down + he gave up on the team with all the superstars coming. In terms of attitude I mean.
  
  Phil was good, but too versatile just like O'Shea.
  
  Unless he is willing to play only when called upon just like Sheasy as well.. that's how he went to skipper Everton instead.

  Actually, in his last few years, keane's play on the pith was clearly not as in the past, but still evident that he dont need to play well to influence the team to play well
