Veloso's United dream

Manchester United are leading the chase for Portuguese wonderkid Miguel Veloso.
Real Madrid are also chasing the £10m-rated versatile Sporting Lisbon midfielder – but he has given the biggest hint that Old Trafford is his preferred destination.
Veloso’s fellow countrymen Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani and are already at United – and the 21-year-old revealed he is eager to join up with them.
“Of course I would love to play for Manchester United,” he said. “They are a great team and it is a dream for anyone to play for great clubs.
Veloso – who can also play in defence – has become one of the most sought-after players in Europe.
But Sporting president Felipe Soares Franco insists he is prepared to fight to keep hold of his star attraction.
“There is no chance the player will leave,” he said. “We are not interested in negotiating this subject because Miguel Veloso is one of our main players for this campaign.” -
