Scholes faces knee scan
United midfielder Paul Scholes will undergo a scan on a knee injury once United have returned to England, following Tuesday's Champions League clash with Dynamo Kyiv.
“Paul Scholes picked up a knee injury in training," Sir Alex Ferguson revealed in an exclusive interview with MUTV. "He will be scanned when we get home. It’s unfortunate but these things happen."
United's injury woes seemed set to go from bad to worse when Patrice Evra pulled up in the warm-up in Kyiv, but his withdrawal was confirmed to be a precautionary measure.
The French left-back felt a slight calf twinge in the Olympic Stadium and was replaced by Darren Fletcher, and is now facing a race against time to face Arsenal in next weekend's Premier League clash.
