Dowie wary of United threatCoventry City Manager Iain Dowie is looking forward to facing United in the Carling Cup, but concedes he has a terrible record at Old Trafford.
After a promising start to the season, the Sky Blues are undefeated and atop the Championship. Dowie rarely tasted victory over United as a player, however, and has lost three times and drawn once against the Reds as a manager.
"It's more like a theatre of nightmares," he told the Coventry Telegraph. "I've hardly ever won there. But we'll go there, play our game and try to be competitive.
"They are the biggest club in the world and I'm probably the biggest admirer of Alex Ferguson there is. I don't think people give him enough credit for what he does, which is to play attacking football, to entertain.
"I'm not looking forward to his team-sheet, because it looks as if he could be shaping to bring back Rooney and Ronaldo, so I might have to try a new formation - 10-1 or something."
Like their Manager, Coventry's players are looking forward to the tie, without losing sight of the need to concentrate on their forthcoming league matches first.
Midfielder Michael Doyle said: "We're delighted to be going to Old Trafford - you dream of things like that when you're a kid - but we've got plenty of league games before then and that's our main priority."
Striker Dele Adebola expects the draw to inspire the Sky Blues squad over the coming weeks as players vie for inclusion at Old Trafford.
"It's an amazing draw - fantastic," he said. "I'm sure everybody will be upping their game to get into the squad now, because anybody who misses out on travelling to Old Trafford is going to be gutted."
