Chris Eagles says he is loving life in the first team set-up and is determined to help the squad build on their first victory of the season over Spurs. The 21-year-old has featured in three of United's opening four matches after impressing during pre-season, netting three times in five games. And Eagles, who fired his first competitive goal for the Reds in the 4-2 win over Everton back in April, is looking to clock up even more minutes on the pitch over the coming weeks."It's brilliant to be involved in any game for the first team," he told MUTV. "To be part of the set-up week in, week out at this level is fantastic. "The game is so quick in the Premier League and whenever you play you have to be able to adapt to the pace of the game immediately. "I'm proud to be at this club and pleased to be involved - I'm enjoying every minute of it. Hopefully I can play my part in helping the team be successful again this season."
The Reds notched their first three points of the campaign on Sunday thanks to Nani's second half stunner against Spurs. Eagles says the win gave the squad a massive boost and confidence is high going into Saturday's tea-time clash with Sunderland. "It was a great relief to get the win," he admitted. "Having seen the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea get off to a good start we knew we had to get the victory. "The Sunderland match will be another tough one but hopefully we can get the result we need and go on a good run now."
