Should we get a striker?

We'r clearly having some goalscoring problems up front, do you think Fergie should sign a Striker? and who should he get?
2 names that we have been linked lately are Obafemi Martins(£13m) and Anelka(£10m).
Or do you think he should stick with his current squad and depend on Saha/Solskjaer?
My take on this is that we should go for Afonso Alves.
Boro's looking at him, and he said that he's interested to join the Premiership.
He scored 34 goals in 31 appearances last season in the Dutch League and its reported he only cost around £6m.
Plus, he's tall which is something our front line is lacking. -
he should just get a goal poacher like RVN...
maybe someone like Kristoffer Haestad...he owns..seriously.. In my FM, he's like godlike lor..hitting 6 goals against Real Madrid

Maybe,Fergie should start playing O'shea as a striker haha. he's a real fox in the box, almost scored against Reading when Fergie put him as a striker. -
Man U had enough strikers. I never got how he could have sold off the strikers so that he depends heavily on only 2 or 3 reliable strikers. smith and rossi while not fantastic were at least competent

read somewhere say Juve bid 15m pounds and he just kanna drop from the national team lol..maybe price will decrease. Madrid also wanna sign him i think. -

martins...not bad. But i think should buy a tall striker..gd at header. physical . and play with 2 main striker.

Buy a striker ?
As a fan from a opposition camp , i like those rumours , obvious desperation shown in Mu camp .
In a football fan point of view , not a good idea , u don't buy a player for the sake of solving a short term crisis .
I see Roony and Ronaldo as short term crisis .
Should use the whatever resources available , like moving Paul Scholes upfront , or Giggs , or even can get one young gun from the academy , whatever it takes .
In Liverpool , we don't buy for the sake of buying . The new player must really gel into the team , and i don't believe that new player can ever gel almost immediately .
Nani is a prolic player , see ... he need time to gel with the team .
So buying a striker ? No a good idea at all .

Rumours about buying another striker just a week after signing Tevez is a bit disrespectful for Tevez .
Just give Nani & Tevez a few more games , then see what they can do .
Martins ? If i am Big Sam , it's very easy to tell Martins : " U are going to Manchester as more or less a bench player , u want it that way ?" In Newcastle , he can be one of a regular 11's .
But i can't say similiar things about Anelka ..... cos Anelka tends to be a club-hopper .
Anyway , no EPL clubs would sell their key strikers , so MU can go on dream on .

I feel Man Utd definitely need a big and tall striker to intimidate the opponents. Hoping Berbatov will come but guess he's too expensive.
