PAUL SCHOLES has never been on the end of one of Alex Ferguson’s infamous ‘hairdryers’ — because he is too good.
Manchester United team-mate Rio Ferdinand revealed Scholes is the only player ever to escape boss FergieÂ’s fury.
Ferdinand, 28, said: “Anyone who says they’ve not been shouted at other than Paul is probably lying.
“He can’t be shouted at, he’s too good to be shouted at.
“He doesn’t make mistakes — he’s just a great player.
“We’ve got a lot of great players but Paul Scholes is a fantastic footballer.
“You just say ‘Paul, you do this’ and that’s it.”
Ferdinand — who admitted he had had the hairdryer treatment a few times — added: “Paul’s loved as a footballer by his fellow professionals.
“For him not to have won the PFA Player of the Year or the Football Writers’ Player of the Year is a travesty for someone of his talents.”
And England international Ferdinand also reckons Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world.
He said: “Cristiano’s a fantastic footballer and does things no other player can.
“I’ve tried a few times in training and fell over.
“If you wanted to build a footballer he has talents you’d look at.”
