SILVESTRE TOP TARGET FOR LYON

Mikael Silvestre is still Lyon's choice to replace crocked captain Cris, according to reports in France. Gabriel Heinze has been linked with a move, but Lyon boss Alain Perrin is thought to prefer his fellow countryman Silvestre.
He has made it clear that he will consider a move away from Old Trafford after eight years, although he recently turned down a move to Newcastle.
Lyon are apparently hoping that the chance to play in France and cement his place in the national squad for the European Championships will lure him home. -

lol kinda hard to say this but...if Heinze leaves, we need Silvestre.

It's hard to say this but Silvestre defends better than Evra.
Since Lyon are so dsperate to sign him, why not just sell? Since Silvestre is no longer young, no longer as pacy and no longer has the consistency.

to be frank, there're not many real quality left-backs in the world. they're scarce.
