  SIR Alex Ferguson has targeted Lens' Charles Itandje as cover for Edwin van der Sar.
  
  The Manchester United boss is keen to strengthen his goalkeeping options as there are doubts over Van der Sar's longterm future and Ben Foster will miss most of the season through injury.
  
  Lens are prepared to cash in on Frenchman Itandje who has one year left on his contract. Real Betis, Lyon and Aston Villa have all shown an interest in him.

  Hearts seem to have pretty good keepers coming thru. Antti Niemi was from Hearts as well wasn't he? Rumor was that he would've joined United then if we had made a move before he promised to join Southampton.

  I think Liverpool wants this keeper as well. Let them have him la. Fergie is damn stupid can? United has 3 senior keepers already!
