Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung has welcomed the club's new signings but warned them he will not be giving up his spot in the team easily.
The 26 year-old, who is currently sidelined until February next year with a knee injury, is confident of a place in a crowded United midfield that boasts new signings Nani, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves.
"Our team has acquired many good players in the transfer market. Nani plays in the same position as I play but I don't expect to lose out should we have to compete," Park was quoted as saying by The Korea Times.
"I know what they are going through, as I went through the same process two years ago. I will do my best to compete with them and strengthen my role with the team."
The South Korean international is aware he may see limited playing time next season because of his injury, but declared he will make the most of his opportunities.
"I will play in fewer games because of the injury but I will make sure that my contributions will have better quality," concluded Park.
