Manchester United legend Eric Cantona has become an ambassador for the Homeless World Cup currently taking place in Denmark.Cantona has been in Copenhagen for the past two days and held a coaching clinic for 500 players in the Danish capital on Tuesday.
And the French star has had no hesitation in putting his name to the tournament, which boasts representatives from 48 countries and claims that 80% of players' lives are enhanced once it is over.
"If I can do anything to help, then I will," said Cantona.
"We all have to try our best, in our own way, to make things a little bit better for everyone.
"I know I could be involved in more mainstream football but I prefer to help promote the game at this level.
"Football unites and inspires and the Homeless World Cup has the power to fire up a person to excel as a human being a change their lives for the better."
England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland are all involved in the event, as are Afghanistan, with the Crown Prince of Denmark due to present the winners' trophy on Saturday.
