Roy Keane hopes to strike a loan deal for Tomasz Kuszczak with Sir Alex Ferguson which would see the keeper returned to Manchester United at a phonecall's notice.Kuszczak played 13 games for United last season and will again be Edwin van der Sar's understudy. And with Ben Foster, who spent last season on loan at Watford, out with a long-term knee injury, Kuszczak would be called back as soon as Fergie decides Van der Sar needs a rest.
Keane has spent the summer trying to land a new No.1 but has failed to land Hearts' Scotland keeper Craig Gordon and Bolton's Jussi Jaaskelainen.
