Fergie Got Fed Up Of Torres Interest

Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted that he has previously been interested in bringing Spanish striker Fernando Torres to Manchester United.
However, the Scot claims he grew "fed up" of the player repeatedly commiting his future to Atletico Madird and as a result withdrew his interest in the player, who joined Liverpool this summer.
Ferguson remains a big fan of the player, who Rafael Benitez spent at least £20m to buy in an attempt to end Liverpool's title drought.
"Torres is athletic, he's brave enough and he'll run the channels for them, which he did well in Madrid," admitted the United chief.
"He's good in the air and has got a physique. He's quicker than you think.
"Over the past few years there has been some interest for us in Torres, but every time he signed a new contract.
"Sometimes you get fed up with that kind of thing." -

Of course if Man U wants to buy players, they have to reciprocate by showing desire.
If Torres is wishy washy even before he has agreed to play for United, how can Man U be sure that he will play his heart out for them after he signs?
Then in that case, no matter how good a player may be, I would rather he not join Man U.
We do not want to see players saying they want to leave after 2 or 3 years? Like Chelsea? Or even Liverpool? -
United has alway been linked to him. Liverpool got Torres because of their spanish connection coupled with the fact that Atletico is not going to qualify for Euro Cups.
