Richardson ready to sign

Kieran Richardson is ready to quit Manchester United and is believed to be a £4million target for Everton.
The England capped-wide man has been told he will see very little first team action next season by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and presented with a choice of new clubs.
Ferguson was back behind his desk earlier this week with bad news for a couple of fringe players - including Richardson and striker Alan Smith.
Everton boss David Moyes had registered his interest in the 23-year-old former West Ham trainee earlier in the summer and is being kept abreast of developments while with the Blues squad in Italy.
Richardson has been told he will not be going on United's pre-season tour of the Far East and should finalise his move in the next week, although the Toffees will face competition.
Sunderland and Sheffield United have also been linked with the Londoner, who failed to impress during the European Under-21 championships - despite being one of the only players in the England squad with senior caps. -

Keane closes on £5m Kieran
Roy Keane is going back to Manchester United to sign winger Kieran Richardson for Sunderland in a £5.5million deal. And the big-spending Black Cats boss is also offering England wide boy Richardson £35,000 a week to talk him into joining his Premiership campaign.
Keane has decided to spend Sunderland's millions in a hurry after being frustrated on several fronts – and his cash will see off rival interest from Everton who were thinking of half of that sum and a fraction of the salary.
Ricahrdson, who has two goals in eight internationals, is likely to follow his former skipper to Wearside by the weekend. -

Sunderland outbid Everton and City for Richardson
Sunderland have agreed a deal in principle of £5.5million for Manchester United winger Kieran Richardson to price out competition from Everton and Manchester City.
The England midfielder is expected to agree a package worth £45,000 a week after Everton refused to match the figures for the 22-year-old. Sunderland boss Roy Keane is having to come to terms with another frustrating transfer episode after seeing defender Chris Baird opt to join Fulham.
The 25-year-old Southampton full-back yesterday completed a £3.025million to Craven Cottage after being heavily linked with the Black Cats over the weekend. Baird's decision saw another of Keane's transfer targets slip through the net, following in the wake of the likes of Diego Forlan, David Nugent, Jermain Defoe and Jussi Jasskelainen, with Wigan and Hearts so far resisting the club's approaches for Leighton Baines and Craig Gordon respectively.
And with many Sunderland fans greeting news of former Newcastle striker Michael Chopra's proposed move to the Stadium of Light with dismay, the Irishman has endured a difficult few days. -

But to be fair to Richardson, Man U really has no future for him in terms of first-team football. For the sake of his own career, he ought to move on to one of the mid-table EPL clubs and try to carve a name for himself.
Probably the main reasons for him staying put is the higher-then-usual wages paid out to players of mediocre technical ability (such as himself) and the glamor associated with playing in a big club such as Man U. -
he must go... the arrival of Nani and Hargreaves already pushing him out of the bench .. let alone first team..

Sunderland are widely reported to have agreed a deal with Manchester United for Kieran Richardson.
The England midfielder is now due in the North East to hold talks with a view to finalising a move to Wearside.
It is believed Sunderland have agreed to pay United £5.5 million for the 22-year-old - who has come through the youth ranks at Old Trafford.
Manchester City's new chief Sven Goran Eriksson - who gave Richardson his international debut - is also thought to be keen.
However, Richardson's former United team-mate Roy Keane appears on course to secure his signature. -
