Man Utd raid Lazio for superkid Macheda

  Manchester United are eyeing Lazio teenager Federico Macheda.
  
  With Italy U21 star Giuseppe Rossi already on their books, United are preparing to raid Lazio's Allievi team for 15 year-old Macheda. United must wait until August 22 to secure the youngster as a 16 year-old, but so confident are they of a deal, United are already preparing a compensation package for Lazio.
  
  United intend to move the Macheda family to Manchester and an agreement is close. For their part, Lazio management have already included Macheda in their senior squad's preseason camp in Austria, but are resigned to losing the striker.

  Italian forward Federico Macheda scored on his debut for United's Under-18s on Saturday to give Paul McGuinness' side a valuable 1-0 win over Barnsley - the young Reds' third victory in a row.
  
  The 16-year-old Rome-born striker, who joined United this summer from Lazio, struck in the 50th minute to seal the win over the Yorkshire club.
