Parma: United to sell Rossi

Manchester United are willing to sell Giuseppe Rossi, according to Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi.
The Gialloblu have already made an offer for the Italian striker, who had a successful spell on loan with the Italian club last season.
Rossi may be surplus to requirements should United complete the signing of Argentina international striker Carlos Tevez.
Parma have not wasted any time in trying to take the 20-year-old hit-man back to the Stadio Ennio Tardini over the summer.
Ghirardi is waiting to hear back from The Red Devils whether they have been successful in their bid for Rossi, but remains hopeful of landing his man.
"Manchester United have put Giuseppe Rossi up for sale," Ghirardi told Italian press.
"Two days ago we spoke with Red Devils officials and they told us the player is for sale.
"At that point we made an offer. Now we are waiting for an answer."
Rossi's nine goals in 19 games for Parma last term were crucial in helping keep the club in Serie A.

It will be a pity if this is true, since Rossi wasn't even given a chance at Utd. -
Big clubs always have the bad habits of snapping up young talented players and sell them away without giving them a proper chance at all.
Man U, Liverpool, Cheslsa, Arsenal to some extent...
and worst of all is Tottemham. Always buy talented English youngsters and shipped them out within one or 2 seasons. Only Lennon is an exception.
But anyway Tottemham is just a small club, dun bother abt them

Aww.. Sad news indeed. But if Tevez really signs for United, Rossi probabbly wouldn't have a chance to play at all.

It does seem though, that if Rossi were to be released, United will be playing Anderson more upfront, leaving the central midfield to Hargreaves, Scholes, Carrick and Fletcher.
It does seem that United are starting to favour the more fluid attack of a solid backfour, 2 central midfielders, then 4 attackers capable of playing in all 4 positions.
Personally, i think Rossi can still fit in. I prefer that they play with a backfour, 2 central midfielders, 3 attackers interchanging infront of the 2 central mids, and Rossi up top.
Hopefully this news doesn't prove true, and Rossi can try to establish himself in the United squad
