Parma have made a £7m offer for Giuseppe Rossi and Manchester United's response will dictate their transfer strategy.
The Under-21 international proved decisive in keeping the Gialloblu in Serie A following his January loan move to the Tardini.
Although the player has stated he wants to "make it" at United, Parma President Tommaso Ghirardi hopes £7m can convince the club to release him.
It would be a return to Parma for Rossi, who was a part of their youth academy before he was poached by the Manchester side.
All of their transfer strategy now revolves around the response to this proposal. If Rossi does not remain, then they will focus on Chievo's Nigerian forward Victor Obinna and Udinese's Antonio Di Natale.
