Udinese and Sampdoria, the two clubs who co-own Fabio Quagliarella, have both agreed to sell the player in case a reasonable offer comes in for the 23-year old.
"We are lacking of cash and Sampdoria know that," said Udinese general director Pietro Leonardi.
"In fact, if we receive decent offers from any of the big clubs, Quagliarella will be free to leave.
"However, in case no club will make a bid for Fabio, then we will sit with Sampdoria and closely analyze the situation of the player."
Quagliarella has risen to fame during the recently concluded season, becoming SampdoriaÂ’s top scorer, and capped it off in sensational style with a brace on his Azzurri debut earlier this month.
Manchester United, Juventus, Inter and AS Roma are all said to be interested in signing him.

Co-ownership deals can be rather tricky. Wonder if that will put Fergie off as I dun think he wants another drawn out transfer saga after the long chase for Hargreaves.
As i understand it, independent offers have to be made to the respective clubs. Making it possibly twice as difficult to acquire the player.
But, if he's really worth it, then I believe United will go all out to get him. Hopefully he's worth it. -
Quagliarella: Reds have upped offer
Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella has revealed he could be tempted by a move to Premier League champions Manchester United this summer.
United reportedly made a £10million offer last month to sign the Italy international and, according to Quagliarella, the Red Devils have now increased that amount in the hope of winning the race against top Serie A clubs who are also keen to acquire his services.
When asked about United's offer, Quagliarella told Gazzetta dello Sport: "It seems a serious offer, they have raised it and it is an important figure.
"Manchester United are a big deal and if it ended up going that way, I would gladly join the Premier League.
"It is a fascinating and beautiful competition."
Quagliarella joined Samp last summer from Ascoli, although his sporting rights are co-owned by both the Genoa club and Udinese.
The 23-year-old made 35 league appearances for Sampdoria last season, scoring 13 goals, and his performances earned him a call-up to the national team, where earlier this month he scored his first two Azzurri goals during Italy's 2-0 Euro 2008 qualifying win against Lithuania.
Samp have confirmed only an "extraordinary offer" would see Quagliarella, who is under contract until 2010, leave the club this summer.
Quagliarella insists his first choice would be to remain in Serie A and keep his place in the national team.
"I am really happy at Sampdoria," added the striker.
"I would prefer to remain in Italy, having continuity and having the trust of (national team coach Roberto) Donadoni." -

Sampdoria "Sign" Quagliarella
Sampdoria have secured Udinese's half of Fabio Quagliarella's registration, thus becoming the sole owners of the red hot Italian international.
Both clubs had 50% of the striker's registration, which was also complicating a summer move for the player himself, with none of the big clubs keen to haggle with two parties.
Udinese and Sampdoria both wanted to buy the remaining half, keen to make a big profit by selling him to a bigger club.
However, Udinese's tight financial situation seems to have told. They had indicated yesterday that they would be ready to sell the player if the price was right, and Sampdoria have moved to secure him.
A 6 million euro deal has been struck between the clubs, which could well turn out to be quite a bargain for Samp.
The agreement was reached between Udinese director general Pietro Leonardi and Samdoria general manager Beppe Marotta this evening, and a confirmation is expected soon.
This should clear the way for teams to bid for the striker, who is being followed by Roma, Inter, Juventus and Manchester United, and is rated at at around 15-20 million. -

No United Contact, Says Quagliarella's Agent
Fabio Quagliarella's agent has denied that Manchester United have been in contact with the Sampdoria striker, but suggested he would be more than interested in such a move to the Premiership champions.
United have been linked with a £10m move for the 23-year-old forward, but so have numerous Serie A outfits which may see the transfer fee rise further before any deal is agreed.
Agent Silvio Pagliari told BBC Sport: "I know there's some interest from Manchester United. I'm very proud of it, as he is.
"But United have had no contact with me or with Sampdoria. He'd be keen on playing in England, for sure."
He added: "We have many things to think of, as many big clubs in Italy too are interest in a player like Fabio.
"We can talk about Inter Milan, Juventus, Man Utd, Chelsea - this is no problem for the player as they are all massive clubs.
"I don't know when Fabio will decide his future but the transfer window is open until 31 August and we have no perference at the moment.
"The first club that shows us they want to sign Fabio Quagliarella, we are ready to play with them.
"The fee will be between £10-13.5m, that will be enough for Sampdoria and Udinese, who own half of his registration." -
