GIUSEPPE ROSSI is ready to ask Sir Alex Ferguson whether he has a future at Manchester United - and is hoping the Old Trafford boss will give him a chance to impress if Louis Saha misses the start of the season. The New Jersey-born Italy Under-21 striker enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Parma last season after struggling during an initial spell at Newcastle.
Claudio Ranieri, the 20-year-old's manager at Parma, has now taken charge at Juventus and has put Rossi on his wish-list. But the forward wants to make the grade at United and hopes to get the right message from Ferguson even though he is behind both Saha and Alan Smith in the pecking order and the club are actively seeking a new striker.
"It is all a bit confusing at the moment, but I hope to have a better idea of what will happen after the European Under-21 Championship, " said Rossi. "All I will say is that my main goal is still what it has always been - to cut it with Manchester United."
