CARLOS QUEIROZ has launched a withering attack on bitter Portuguese rival Jose Mourinho.
The Manchester United number two - who masterminded the £30million swoop for whizzkids Nani and Anderson - claims:
Mourinho's squad cannot compete with United. Chelsea can't attract top players because his club have no history. Mourinho will have to watch United go for an unprecedented clean sweep next season. And Queiroz also outlined his grand masterplan ... to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson as boss at Old Trafford.
The influence of Queiroz at United is growing by the day. He was instrumental in the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo and was the key mover in the capture of Nani and Anderson.
And with Owen Hargreaves also added to the champions' squad, Queiroz - who has clashed with Mourinho in the past - sees no reason why United cannot retain their title.
Fergie's lieutenant said: "We want to go for everything next season. We always want the maximum.
"I want the league and Champions League. We came close this season so we have to take advantage of that experience to try again next season.
"Chelsea suffered last season in the league. We have shown that we have a better squad than Chelsea and that is why we won the league.
"And now we have strengthened our side even more with the arrival and Nani and Anderson. If each one gives us half as much as Cristiano Ronaldo is giving us then we will be more than satisfied. We'll try to make sure that they both end up as massive Premiership stars."
And in a thinly-disguised attack on Roman Abramovich's spending policy, Queiroz claimed that Chelsea cannot compete with the tradition and pulling power of Old Trafford.
He explained: "Nani and Anderson are very excited about coming here and not only for the money. Players want to play for this club and that is something that has been achieved through a lot of hard work and history - not just over three or four years!"
And Queiroz insists that United's new owners will carry on the tradition and are at Old Trafford for the long haul. He said: "The Glazers sell-up now? They are more involved than ever and delighted that we are champions.
"With just a few changes to the side we are prepared to be champions again. Sir Alex Ferguson still has a great desire, even more so after winning the title. He wants to go one step at a time and has no set date for his goodbye. At the moment it is ruled out."
But that does not stop Queiroz coveting the number one job.
He said: "I am learning every day at this club. It is not up to me but it is logical that I would like to be one day the manager of Manchester United."
hmm..it doesnt sound like him.

He talk too much for an assistant manager. And even if he's the manager, I still consider him talking too much, and too big. Sounds like a mini Mourinho to me or something to that point.

I prefer Roy Keane or Mark Hughes to take over in Man Utd.
