Have you realised that Giggs is being played more in a central role behind the strikers now?
Also, Scholes drops deeper now when collecting the ball off the defence, at times deeper than Carrick even. He's almost operating like Pirlo, a deep-lying playmaker,albeit without much tackling ability to speak of.
The ones who should really be worried should be Richardson and Fletcher. With the arrival of Hargreaves, Fletcher goes even lower on the list, and he can forget about playing on the wings too, with Cristiano, Nani and Park all capable of playing there. He's been impressive, especially in the 7-1 destruction of Roma, but he isn't top-class and he might get frustrated and leave.
As for Richardson, what can i say? If Heinze leaves, the only chance he'll get is as back-up for Evra. Else, if some youngster fills that void, Pique might, and does so ably, RIchardson can pack his bags and go.
