nope dont think we need to add to our defence. We've got back-ups available Brown, Silvestre, Oshea..and promising youngsters Pique, Evans and Cathcart.
and we shouldnt go for anelka because he's the incredible sulk
and we have kuzczhak as back up for VDS. so dont think we need Gordon because once Foster comes back we'll have 4 goalies fighting for one spot, which is madness. -

I think we are doing good in defence and GK.. I realised for most of the matches that I saw Man U lost are the problems created first by the midfield.. Didnt clsoe down fast.. Now we got midfield signings lets see how it goess.. -

i think kuzczhak did quite well in covering VDS when he was injured.. -

But that is just covering VDS, how about take up number one GK? its gona be though for him =P. I reckon Gordon will be a good buy, but no more spare cash haha.

i seriously think we need another 20goals a season striker ,
we cant depend on dong , babyface or smith to do the job if our injuryprone saha with a hamstring every 2 months.
maybe rossi can fill the gap , but he hasn't really prove himself yet in manutd 1st team . -

i saw kuzczhak play , i everytime heart attack coming out. the way he deal with conner,so short still want try come out and attack the ball
def, yeah have promising young def, like pique...hm..although have brown..but ...not sure la.. LOL!. just have to see the frend match see how they rated lo.

imo unless he manages to offload at least 2 defenders, he wont get a solid quality defender. because there will be too much competition in our defence. the central defensive partnership of rio and vida will definitely not be broken up. the defender that comes in has to be contented with a back-up role. -

He doesn't have to offload two defenders to get a solid one. A leaf can be taken out of Rafa's book for this - squad rotation. Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Silvestre can only be backups so imagine what will happen if the first-choice defenders get injured, or worse, a backline injury crisis.
Fergie should really get a good defender. -

also, it's always been taught that great championship winning teams are built on two principles, a string defence, and a strong spine.
United's defence is strong, save for the full-back positions at times. the rationale for a strong defence is that the attackers can pour foward safe in the knowledege that if they lose the ball, they dun have to track back to win it back. it keeps them focused on attacking, making it seem like attack is the best form of attack.
as for the spine, United have a spine that's been in place for about 2 seasons, so Fergie's just beefing it up. he does lack a focal point of a centre foward though, so even if he does move for Saviola (free), he'll need someone big and strong fro the crosses and holding up play, etc. other than that, the spine shouldn't need any tinkering with. -

with OwenH, it means infront of defence, there is another layer of protection..

as for defence, I think it would be good to blood the youth but maybe in Cup matches like carling or FA cup so as to grow their exposure and experience.
Some of them were loaned out and I do believe they are ready..
I would want to see Rossi or Pique play. They do have remarkable report cards during their loans. -
Yep. I did not think that Man Utd needed to get a new striker because they have Rossi! The backline is very important though and I do agree with the inexperience of the young defenders, which is a point I had made earlier too.
But Pique is probably ready. Anymore loaning and he will probably be wanting to get out of Man Utd for serious.
Anyone remember how many times Man Utd conceited crucial goals in the last minutes? The defense line can just break down like that so suddenly. Like that match against Arsenal... Man Utd did well until the last few minutes when WHAM! I don't really want to see those things happen again. It's really awful.

I think the key to those last minutes goals are concentration..
that's why it was mentioned that for GK like Foster, it is hard to zone out when nothing is happening, and zone in, when opposing teams do a sudden attack..
I think MUFC is doing well with Vidic cause he is pretty focus. -
the ridiculous last minute goals that i rmb we conceded were all because of SILVESTRE. i think it was during the christmas period where we played wigan and reading.
that bloody sod cant defend sh!t. his concentration is so poor. he's not cut out to be a central defender. but keeps insisting that thats his best position.
