LaSalle Performing Arts courses..can get stable job?

I just finished NS and thinking of taking up the degree in music tech cos of my keen interest in music..but I`m thinking whether upon graduation, am I guranteed of a stable job? I`m quite particular abt this...wat do u guys think? Please help me out...

this type of thing is relli hard to say
no one knows wats the market like 3 yrs later...
but the arts scene is pretty promising, considering the increase in awareness and support.....
for ur definition of "stable job", are u saying like.....u are hoping to earn x amount of money immediately when u grad? -
only job u can guarantee stable job is that of a doctor lah, everything else where got guarantee stable one, even those engineers finish degree also no guarantee can find job.

OK..4get abt the stable job part..wat I`m trying to say is tat jobs tat r related to the coz I wanna take..I notice tat they are not always displayed in the classifieds and internet unlike those engineering and sales jobs....

u have to be proactive......
check out the clubs and societies......
make contact with the groups, join their activities, make urself known....
this is oso a way of building ur portfolio.....
when u grad, u have substantial experience and the necessary strings to pull....it would be much easier
from wat i know, performing arts group bery bery seldom recruit thru classifieds.....
they usually hold auditions.....u might need to subscribe to arty mags to see the ads.....or they will put up on the billboard in schools......or u can drop by their centres to look out for such things......
sometimes they oso need backstage helpers....u can start from there.....and work ur way to a more prominent role.....
im not from lasalle but i took dance classes there
they have good affiliations locally and internationally and i can see that the students have lotsa exposure.....
did u go to their open house?
i think it would be a good chance to see what they have to offer and whether it suits u.....
nobody can guarantee u a job.....but the learning process and the experience will be with u for life......and it's up to u to make full use of opportunities.....
