NTU or NUS better?

Hi guys just wondering which uni is better in the field of engineering, specifically environmental engineering. NTU is said to be a more science technological intense school which focuses on the sciences like engineering compared to NUS so which would be better?
Regarding cohort size, NUS seems to have a significantly smaller cohort for environmental engineering compared to NTU (60+ vs ~200+) how will it affect my grades or anything, for instance is it safer to choose NTU with a bigger cohort so the bell curve is not as steep? Also is it true that having an honours degree from NTU is less valuable than a single degree from NUS.

You can always learn the content anywhere. Onlne, offline. But you can only meet your classmates once. See whose students you want to be friend with.

Please get rid of this common misconception: Having more people in a cohort does NOT mean the bell curve will be less steep. It does not make sense. It all depends on how hardworking and smart the people comprising the cohort are, which unfortunately cannot be gauged until you are actually IN the course and find out where you stand.
If the cohort size is too small (not sure about the exact figure), then the distribution will be too weird such that there will NOT be a bell curve. If that is the case, then it all depends on the level of difficulty of the papers set because now grading will be based on your absolute scores, and if need be, a cohort-wide moderation will be implemented if everyone screwed up. This means it is possible for everyone to score A, and everyone also can get F.
In my opinion, NUS is more recognised than NTU. But it is easier to do better in NTU in terms of grades. But what I suggest is you focus more on studying hard, making friends, and exposing yourself to various school activities. In general, focus on improving yourself. Grades will come after that.
