Duterte thinks he has a brilliant idea : make fishing prohibited for *both* Philippine and Chinese fishermen in the disputed South China Sea territorial waters. If China agrees (ie. no one fishes there), then it's all good. But if China continues to allow Chinese fishermen to fish there, while Philippines outlaws Philippine fishermen from fishing there, then Duterte will be faced with a severe backlash from his own Philippine fishermen (who are already upset with his idea), as well as from China (who still insists it owns the entire South China Sea, so of course Chinese fishermen are free to fish there).

[Myanmar] - The conflict between Buddhist majority Myanmar and the Rohingya Muslims are rapidly deteriorating. Witnesses and activists have reported Myanmese troops killing hundreds of Rohingya Muslims, raping their women and burning down their houses. Neighboring Bangladesh, which has already accepted over 30 thousand Rohingya Muslim refugees from Myanmar, is refusing entry to another 30 thousand Rohingya Muslims trying to flee murderous attacks from the Myanmese military. It's unfortunate that Bangladesh does not have the resources, political will or infrastructure to mutually benefit from the potentially additional manpower from these 60 Rohingya refugees. As it is, there already isn't enough food or jobs for the Bangladeshis themselves, and unfortunately the Myanmese continue to victimize the Rohingya Muslims. The UN is naturally concerned, but what can they do to help?

Unethical, unevolved people who are unwilling to feel (and thus have little) sympathy and empathy for others.
I had once remembered a local lady came to dine in my restaurant and the bill in total was $48.90, so what she did was, she used all 5 pieces of her $10 discount voucher and when I told her that she can only use one voucher per bill she told me to split out the bill into 5.
My message to these rascals is that you want cheap, everyone else want it too, but stop making service providers a fool. You may think that the discount has got no impact to these providers, but imagine if every or does the same? Then how you expect these providers to survive? Just put yourselves in our shoes, how would you feel if someone else does the same thing?

Being proficient in multiple languages is one of the most useful and most impressive (both of which can be mutually synergistic) skillsets and hobbies to have. Almost all Malaysian and Indonesian Chinese, already have the advantage of being trilingually proficient in English, Chinese and Malay/Indonesian. But this Indonesian Chinese young woman made the extra effort to learn 3 additional languages, and she's intending to learn 1 more.

[Singapore] - The father of a three-month-old baby girl was so engrossed in a mobile phone game that he continued playing it while feeding his child from a milk bottle with one hand.
The child, Reyhana Qailah Mohamad Shiddiq, died after a brief struggle - she had kicked her legs, moved her hands, pushed the bottle with her tongue, and cried.
The father's inattention to her struggles and resistance to drinking amounted to forced bottle feeding of a very young baby, resulting in her death.

Science cannot be corrupted, but scientists (like all human beings) certainly can, and almost always, will be. It's all about the money and politics. Big Pharma, Big Oil, Big Tobacco (and these are just the obvious ones you can see), the elite 1% rules over the poor 99% of the human population, only the incredibly naïve don't get this.
