[Philippines] - 2 hitmen assassins shot dead a woman in a contract killing, then fled the scene as local police gave chase, leading to a violent shootout between the hitmen assassins and the local police. Only after the hitmen assassins were eventually shot and arrested, did the local police find out that the 2 hitmen assassins were actually themselves police officers from another town in the Philippines (one of them was even a Chief of Police in his town), and are now being charged with murder of the woman, as well as for shooting at police officers.

Rob : This doesn't make much sense, The Houthi has very limited resources and missiles even those with poor targeting are extremely valuable. Firing on a ship with advanced counter measures and vehicle termination systems is a enormous waste. Doing it three times is absurd, they simply would never risk it. Either we as a nation are being played by Saudi or we as citizens are being played by our White House to increase our presence and supports. Guess which one I believe.

Too many Thais (including several separate cases of young women jailed for over 20 years) have been a victim of abuse of this unethical immoral archaic law, in which anyone can falsely accuse anyone else, and often do so for ulterior motives and silencing political opponents. The late King regretfully (perhaps regretting in the afterlife) missed his chance to perform an act of great ethical and moral good in his power, that is to repeal the law. Thai citizens will now continue to live in the shadow of fear of being falsely accused and imprisoned. Such archaic, unethical and immoral laws, hold back the entire country's social, ethical and spiritual progress.

If you've not yet watched "The Accountant" in Singapore cinemas, go watch it before its run ends.
Not only is it easily the best movie of the year, but it surprisingly actually has a rather intelligent plot and storyline (which you'll have to piece together bit by bit for yourself as the movie progresses, multiple flashbacks and all), which is a rarity for Hollywood movies these days.
It is also a rare movie in that it successfully spans across multiple genres and themes, from autism & intelligence, to stock broking corporate fraud, to the accounting & finance world, to violent mafia gangsters, to clandestine government agencies, to martial arts & military special forces, to emotionally straining family relationships, to whacky & witty humour, to a romance love relationship.
And emotionally touching characters (even for minor-role, back-end characters such as Marybeth Medina and Raymond "Ray" King) you can empathize and sympathize with.
A pleasantly surprising, multi-faceted and thoroughly excellent movie.
