Night Safari gift shop uses a lot of UV lighting (used to showcase the glow-in-the-dark merchandise). The health risk is not just for the visitors, but especially for the staff stationed at the Night Safari gift shop, due to their more extensive prolonged exposure to the UV lighting (taking into consideration that the UV lamps at the Night Safari gift shop have already been in operation for several years now).
Depending on the exact type of UV lamps used, there could be a significantly increased risk of UV light induced DNA damage, in turn resulting in a significantly increased risk of skin cancer and eye damage.

Frankly I also cannot stand them either. Especially those regular SAF Medical Corps guys. Spineless buggers.
Last time I got called up to the LTC(Dr) he told me "I know you are doing the right thing. You never do anything wrong. But all the parents keep complaining leh. Got complaint I still have to answer even if you did the right thing. More work for me. I dowan to have this work lah. You know what I mean right? " *wink wink*
Bugger wanted me to just give in and just issue all the ATT C what not make them happy then he dont have complaints. But then the training side will come and kaw cheow me.
SAF full of such assholes. be it Medical Corp be it Training active whatever. All just want to shake leg.
Another time Store Encik send one guy to me. I asked him why come see me at medical centre? He say dunno. I call Encik....he says" this storeman give me headache lah. always go AWOL, dun listen. Charge also no use. Can you help me find medical problem so that we can post him out?" So unable to discipline and control men send to MO. I used to tell my colleagues we are last line of defence within SAF. If not for us all go home no need serve NS lah. All this happen during my NSF MO days lah.
I have zero respect for the SAF. To be honest I dowan the CPT rank. Nobody respect. The number of times I got scolded by the soldiers I cannot count. The rank nobody respect lah. After a while I go to work I also never wear uniform anymore. For what right?
Good riddance. Me no longer Sinkaporean liao. Hee Hee!
Eventually, they were diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, which is a crippling neurodegenerative disease affecting the elderly. But these were 6 relatively young Americans, including 2 young women aged 21 and 30 years old.
After further medical and chemical investigation (including critical evidence turned up by mass spectrometry), it turned out that they had consumed an illegal synthetic opiod drug called MPPP (left in diagram below), which on its own would not have caused any problems.
But if the chemistry synthesis was poorly carried out, the MPPP would be contaminated by a side-product (not by-product) MPTP (right in diagram below), which would cross the blood brain barrier and be metabolized by monoamine oxidase enzymes into MPP+, a powerful neurotoxin that would destroy all the dopamine-releasing neurons in the substantia nigra of the brain that controls bodily movement.
Among the worst hit of the 6 victims was also the youngest : a 21 year old girl named Connie, who became permanently and near-completely paralyzed for the rest of her life.

“As far as the cyber, Trump began, “we should be better than anybody else, and perhaps we’re not.
He went on, at length, to speculate about who hacked the DNC earlier this year. (“It could be Russia, but it could also be China. It could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK?)
He then bragged about his adolescent son, Baron. (“I have a son. He’s 10 years old. He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it’s unbelievable.)
Finally, Trump concluded with a stirring invocation of American ingenuity.
“The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough, he said. “And maybe it’s hardly doable.
In moments like these, Trump sounded less like a potential president than like a school student trying to bluff his way through an oral exam.
It was a gap that Clinton was quick to point out.
“I think Donald just criticized me for preparing for this debate, she said at one point.
“And yes, I did. And you know what else I prepared for? I prepared to be president.

SINGAPORE — As the opening notes of the National Anthem echoes through her primary school, Cindy Lim stands at attention and sings softly as the Singapore flag is raised during the morning assembly. Unlike her other Singapore-born schoolmates, however, Cindy is not allowed to raise the state flag. She has to pay higher fees if she joins a school camp. And even though she comes from a low-income family, the Primary 5 student is not eligible for financial assistance from the Education Ministry.
Cindy, who scores excellent grades in her studies and has been a school prefect for three years, is not entirely sure why she is treated differently, but she suspects it may have something to do with an unusual entry in her birth certificate that reads: “The child is not a citizen of Singapore at the time of birth.
The 11-year-old was born in Singapore to an Indonesian mother and a stateless father who died of kidney failure last year. Her father, originally a Malaysian who was brought to Singapore from Selangor as a baby, became stateless after renouncing his citizenship while refusing to serve the National Service here when he got the enlistment call. Cindy’s mother, Madam Yulyana, 48, who lives in Singapore as a long-term pass holder, said: “Seven days after my daughter’s delivery, I followed my husband to the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) because I cannot believe what happened. “I have a country. Why is she stateless? They explained that it is because the father is stateless.
More than 1,000 people in Singapore share Cindy’s highly unusual and complicated legal status. While some successfully obtain Singapore citizenship, most find themselves in limbo for years, decades, or the rest of their lives.
