I just apply for DAE for all poly and I am waiting for result!
Is there any chances to go into poly this year?
just wait for the results
Hello everyone! :)
I got an L1R5 of 9 (gross), 7 after deducting bonus points.
EL - A2
EM - A1
AM - A1 (This is actually a half miracle - I got E8 for AM in Secondary 3 )
Physics - A1
Chemistry - A2
CH (SS+History) - A2
My posting result was TJC... *cries* But I really hoped to get into NYJC (also thought I had a good chance as 2015 COP for Science was 7!). *sobs* Now in the process of appealing into the Arts stream. Praying hard until Feburary 4th! I made a deal with my senior who went to NYJC while I was Sec 3 that I would work hard and get in, now I don't know if I can accomplish that deal!
Anyone else appealing into any JCs?
Hi Alsifan, there is chance of entering poly. However, you may need to retake English at O levels as a private candidate. Also, you need to apply for a poly course that has cut off points around 18--20. Also, you need to satisfy the subject prerequisites of the specific poly course.
All the best!!

Now NYJC actually overtake TJC which can also be shown in cop
looks like the "marketing tactic" during the open house works

thks alot !!! I am hoping to get into poly. DAE result release on end feb or starting of march.
I chanced upon an moe website that said that those which do not have gce o lvl result can apply thru jpsae based on their talent and achievement and they may be considered.
Got such thing ?😮
moe say one how can no have?!?!?
hi its me again hehe need some help.
so i got posted to jurong jc science and now is choosing the subject combi.
im thinking of H2 Chem, maths econs and either H1 physics/lit/history
my friends say that is not a good combi for uni ( they choosing the usual PCME)
cause i want to enter the Information Security course in NUS and the requirement is H2 pass in computing OR maths OR physics and my friends say those who took PCME have a better chance. isit true?
i took triple pure science in sec and i almost died cause i really didnt like and didnt understand. Chem and History were my favourite subject. but for Os i got
History A1, Chem A2, bio C5 and physics B4
Totally didnt expect to pass physics.
and is H2 econs useful? cause i saw the prerequsite for NUS and i didnt really see econs.

H2 Econs wont give u an advantage in terms of subject pre-requisites. Also, H1 Physics is the same in depth compared to H2 Physics (same difficulty) but only half in terms of breadth (content to study). A level physics requires you to understand concepts, not just applying formulas.
Math-chem-econs opens you up to many pathways in university. definitely not as much as PCM students but you can still enter many of the courses in university
