SINGAPORE: The results of the GCE N Level examination for Normal (Academic) and Normal (Technical) students will be released on Thursday (Dec 17), announced the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB).
Candidates may obtain their result slips from their schools from 2pm, while private candidates will be notified by post. Private candidates who are eligible for SingPass can also log in to the Internet Examination Results Release System on SEAB’s website to view their results.
Students who wish to apply for Institute of Technical Education (ITE) courses can submit their applications online upon collection of their results.
APPLICATION FOR POLYTECHNIC PROGRAMMES
For eligible students who wish to apply for polytechnic programmes under the Direct Entry Scheme (DPP), they can obtain an application form from their schools. They may submit their DPP applications online via the ITE portal between 2.30pm on Dec 17 and 5pm on Dec 21.
The DPP posting results will be released at 9am on Dec 23, and students may check the results on the ITE application portal. Successful applicants have until 5pm on Dec 28 to accept or reject the DPP offer, while unsuccessful applicants are required to report to their secondary schools for Secondary 5 on Jan 4, 2016.
Under the DPP, students will attend a two-year Higher Nitec course at an ITE and if they attain the required grades in the programme, they will be guaranteed a place in a polytechnic diploma course.
Eligible students interested in the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) may apply in January 2016, when the O Level results are released.
Students should commence the Sec 5 year on Jan 4, 2016 while they await notification of eligibility for PFP, said MOE and SEAB.
