Hi guys. I got back my alevel result this year and I got A for my PCM/E while my gp n pw got C and B respectively. With that I got 86.5 out of 90. My friends say that my chance into medicine is very very low as medicine accept mostly at least 87.5. Beside my econs was a H1 and that my friend say that medicine is more likely to accept AAA/B for 4 H2s as compared to AAA/A for 3 H2s. Is that true cause now I very scared. I did apply for nus medicine but they didnt even call me for the interview. Now I trying to learn bmat as I m goin to give a shot into ntu medicine. Do I still have a chance? Besides since I didnt go for nus medicine interview, can I try for it again next year? Damn this thing is really bothering me a lot.
Presume you are anybody but the type that settles for substitutes or alternatives. Still, apart from the new medicine faculty at NTU, there is also TCM degrees as well. Less prestigeous, yet also quite costly, in fact on my end because I am so cheapskate I have already started considering doing a TCM degree in Johor Bahru where there may be at least two universities offering courses of that nature there, at a cheaper rates as well. In fact, any courses including medicine in Malaysia sound really enticing if one is keen on the rapidly depreciating Malaysian exchange rates..
I heard that NUS medicine had accepted some with grades like AAB/A. So do try NUS and NTU medicine. It seems that performance at interview is highly important. I heard that NUS/NTU placed more emphasis on GP in this year's admission exercise.
I have also heard rumours that GP grade C is hard to get the interview even, for NUS. Then interview is the key afterwards. NTU should be less hard to get, and if you are going through NS now you should continue to try for the next 2 years lah.
