Hii ppl i was wondering was GCE N LEVEL English easy or hard to pass. How they calculate the score? And i dunnoe why i failed my English.
I personally think you have to aim and score much higher than be sastified with yourself at your current level, i too as well was dissappointed in my scores.
But at least i imaging myself trying to get 100 marks out of 100 marks,so i studied real hard, which luckily let to me at least passing my exams.
I not sure, but i think you dun have a second chance and thats how life is. but regarding entering a higher education, ITE, poly, junior college, most of them or the courses might say you need a certain grade to enter like the most common criteria passing your english.
I heard a lot of people saying that even if you did not pass or make the grade, you can still try to enrol the school or the course, because the criteria/ requirement is last year not this year, this year, the school/course you are interested in might not have as much people interested and enrolling in it, therefore leaving you the vacancy.
easy
After writing what you have written, you can try to re-read what you have wrote.
English is not difficult to pass.
There is more than enough time.
Keep within the word limits so that you don't make too much grammatical errors.
Composition is about 250 words? Split into 3-4 paragraphs, with 60 words in each paragraphs. Split the 60 words into a few properly constructed sentences.
One way to improve English is to read everything u see in english. When typing don't use short forms like u, thr, type out the full words.
read, read and read even more. learn new words and apply them in everyday life and work.
truth to be told, language proficiency has to start from young.

For O levels hard to pass and also hard to get A1
@SBS5010P ahhhh... i didn't there is actually such a difference,

Comprehension is the killer. The rest of the EL paper are quite easy to pass.
It is easy to PASS the subject, but difficult to SCORE the subject, the margin that differenciate between the different grade (bell curve) is very small in Languages, therefore, a single mark may even cause a difference of 2 grades...
It all depends on how strong your command of english is, read more and your english will improve eventually.
