And is it true that chem eng is more on physics than chem? Hah thx
Hi ultima
Thx for ur reply. I have been consistently top few percentile for chemistry in my sch. Does that give me a higher chance of getting into nus chem eng?
Thx

Thanks for the reply.
If I'm not wrong, my uni admission score is 78.75. Is it worth trying for ntu biz?

if 1 degree say is 10 units of study, double degree is 20 units (or maybe 18 if have combined modules), double major is 5 units each

Hi! Do I look at IGP or UES to gauge if I can get into a particular course?

smu requires BBB/B for business management which I am interested in, but I only got ABC/C, what do you think my chances are? i heard that BBB is equivalent to ABC but am not sure about my h1… does it help that my gp is an A and pw B? I’m not sure if they consider gp and pw since it’s always stated that a C for both is assumed.

seems like SMU 门槛高
i know some current students there, especially in biz
and i was also wondering how, with their results, can enter SMU

Both are related, because the IGP is estimated based on the Uni Admission Score cut off. So if you only look at one, look at your UAS.
i thought should be UAS is based on IGP not the other way round???

Hey guys! glad to see a few of you did good. Even if you didn't be happy wince what's done is done. I wish all of you a good luck and for you guys to get the job/uni you wanted to go!
LOL if I not wrong engineering course require H2 relevant courses. Anw GP: E PCME(4h2):A, PW:B MtL:A, i hope i can get into NTU chem engineering. Since NTU is less competitive than NUS has a higher chance of getting First class honor too.
Cannot really decide on Aerospace engineering, Chem or NBS
I'm currently applying for sciences in both ntu and nus. So far, there are 2 particular courses that interest me: NTU CBC (Chemistry and Bio Chem), and NUS Faculty of Science (Probably Majoring in Chem/Bio/Phy i cant decide haha).
Thing is, I've always been thinking that NUS Science is the best, mainly because of the school’s (NUS) reputation. But no I was wrong. After doing some research, I found out that NTU is actually better in terms of chem and bio whereas NUS has a higher ranking for physics.
So now, I don’t know where to go anymore. NTU CBC or NUS FoS?
- NUS is much closer to my home than NTU (5 bus stops for NUS vs ~45 mins for NTU). I can even join my friends who are in hall for breakfast if i go to NUS :P
- As far as i know, those university rankings are based on employability and starting pay (Correct me if im wrong). I personally don’t really bother about post-graduate life though, what matters to me most is to have a fulfilling journey in my final years of study J. I look forward to making new friends and making friends with seniors (I hope they’re nice enough to give me advices on module choices etc). Basically to do things I rarely have the opportunity to, like going on an overseas trip or two.
- Does ntu have courses such as beginner jap or Korean? I’d like to pick up a third language J
- MOST IMPORTANTLY, My interest in science lies largely in Chem, but I do love physics and bio too. No interest in Food Sci Tech, computational science or environ science. Im fine with studying math, though im quite bad at it and i’d avoid it if possible. A course with 100% chem won’t appeal to me at all, I’m looking for a balance between the 3sciences but as far as i know, there’s no such thing :(((( so yup, a bit of physics and bio in my chemistry degree and i’ll be thankful.
- I’d like to know more about the quality lecturers and facilities provided to science students in both ntu and nus too.
Any Suggestions on which school should I enter?
