Hey there, I need help with my holiday assignment in which I have to do a report about globalization in Singapore. I just need to know, how is Singapore practising globalization ? Do post me some examples (best if links are provided my luck is down recently during research), any and all forms of help is appreciated. Thanks, and enjoy your holidays!
Singapore has continually been seeing a growth in foreigner numbers, with a rise of about 7% per year most recently in both 2011 and 2012. The gov also issues Employment Passes, the various categories being P/Q/R/S-Passes. You can find more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immigration_to_Singapore#Policy (yay wikipedia!)
We have also been very welcoming towards foreign corporations. Just look around shopping malls and you can see all the foreign brands: LV, H&M, Uniqlo, even McDonald's. Some companies even set up factories or plants here, like Seagate and Shell. These are only a few examples I can name off the top of my head.
Hope this helps! :)
It seems like I need more help, now:
I would like to know how Singapore diversifies her economy, the schemes that are used to help benefit SMEs and how they are benefitting from these schemes. Thanks!
