always have something to fall back on

Well I did email Mindef about that and apparently I'm not allowed to self study ~.~

oh. Then i guess you could enrol into ITE then dropout? However it's a very risky route. I would suggest you continue studying in ITE until your O level retake results come out and you can decide whether you want to dropout or not.
Cheers :)

haha but im just worried i wont get accepted into tp and nyp because I just went for their interviews recently for tp wise i dont have much aplomb because they interview 3 ppl at once
NYP the interviewers were quite satisfied saying my attitude is commendable, told me in a jokingly manner to get my fingers crossed and wait for the outcome but for tp they didnt show much expressions just mm mm and mm.
then too bad
who ask u to play around with the choices

no lah i didnt play around i chose the courses that are at my cop
tbh, instead of JPSAE, you should have applied through JAE 2015... the success rate is higher (actually, it's 100% you will be allocated a course, from the 12 choices you put), and you would have the certainty of getting the course of your interest.
well, anyway, now that you finally get a course... regarding re-deferrment, you may want to go to the student service centre of your new polytechnic to get a letter that say you will be their student from when to when, and use that to re-defer. Don't have to wait until enrolment already then do. anyway, even when enrolled already, you know what to do meh? it's also to get the same letter, to re-defer.

If both polys accept me i will go to TP cause the course i chose got airline management and other interesting course modules
HEY PEOPLE! HELP ME OUT!
I applied to Rp using DAE for sports coaching, sports and leisure management, sports science and health management promotion.
There were 3 periods for the dae application. I applied for the 1st one and just got the results on friday. It simply said they couln't offer me a place.
I missed the 2nd DAE period and the third one is this thursday.
I want to know what I should do and why they rejected me for sports science (22 MER) and health management promotion (26 mer) when my net is 20. and then now they have a list of courses to apply for and Sports sciene and Health management promotion is there. So... should I apply again?
I read all the forums concerning DAE and appealing and stuff but i'm still very lost. Help please?
I am sorry for commenting without reading up on DAE. I myself switched course after my first year in tertiary level, via applying through JAE for the second time. However, that was from A lvl track to Diploma track. I was not aware that the procedure for Diploma-to-Diploma switch is not the same as A lvl-to-Diploma switch.
I understand the concern here. I think now the only way is to, really, know what you really want to pursue, and appeal for it. Write in to the course managers, or even higher, to the director of the school, or even higher, to the principal of the polytechnic. You may want to write using pen and paper. It is always more sincere to write letter using pen and paper, instead of email.
At the worse case scenario, you may want to opt for the Private Education track. It is (slightly) more expensive than the Polytechnic Diploma track.
Firstly, thank you for replying.
I'm currently writing a draft for an email to the course coordinators. I know what I really really really want and that's why I opted out of my previous poly course.
I've my portfolio in place. I've always been the sports person type. did lots of course related stuff too. My thoughts before applying through DAE was, "when I get that interview, i know i'm gonna get in."
Now the problem is that getting the interview.
I've never really considered private education but my initial backup was that I sign on to the SPF and they'll have those sponsorships to study first and then work away the 5 years (plus NS added in). Tell me if that is a good idea?

By right you should have been called for an interview provided if the course you applied for has slots and you are shortlisted. You can ask around if Students applying for the course you applied has already been called for an interview? Or Maybe the course really no slot already?
By using DAE, shortlisted candidates must go for interview unless your results is like damn good den need to take a short test only. They will only pick like 4 out of 10 candidates i think..
I myself got rejected by RP despite L1R4 of 16 points, B3 ENG, A2 CHI, C6 Maths, B3 Combined Humans and B3 Food & Nutrition. Right now im waiting for TP and NYP's DAE outcome i alr went for their interviews.
You can appeal to RP but u shud include some IT courses or Engineering Courses for a backup plan
and also considering the intake of RP most of the courses should be flooded alr only left with IT and Engineering Courses which has slots

Im also a DAE applicant. I just went for an interview at NYP recently.
btw business management and financial informatics
think theres no more slots..
anyway sucks to be using DAE man we dropouts are left at the last. By last i mean, enroling at the last minute, missing orientation and giving u a few days to do medical checkup and payment etc
got some cases where dae applicants were only informed aft sch started to replace the no shows.
have u applied for other polys too?
