Inorganic Chemistry H2 chemistry

  May I know what the examiners are asking of the requirements of the students,ie memory-based or application,memory+application?

  Any better way to recall/recap with writing?(esp.Chemical Periodicity)I have difficulty understanding the formulae.

  The top few students in Chem in my class(including myself),face difficulties relating to this chapter.(such as constant reference to notes)

  I have attempted tutorials and found them manageable,but the memory part appears to be hard to grasp.

  It helps if you understand Chemistry deeply enough to be able to figure out the mechanisms for the inorganic chemistry reactions (at least for the simpler ones, excluding the more complicated redox ones). Try drawing out the mechanisms for the inorganic reactions that you're required to be familiar with, and once you get the mechanisms right, it'll help a lot in that you can recall the reactions more naturally, with understanding instead of blind memorization. Your school teacher will probably have no time to help you with these, best is if you can find a private tutor who is willing (and competent enough) to help guide you with these mechanisms.

  it seems that the mechanism part is not assessed for inorganic chem but more emphasis on memorising reactions without understanding.Therefore in the periodicity,I was still struggling with recalling
