O level Mother Tongue 2014 (June)

In about 2 weeks time will be the GCE O Level for Mother Tongue . Hmmm..... Just wondering how you guys are preparing for it :333 Any suggestions ? Oh and does anyone roughly have any idea how would the bell curve for MT (Chinese Language Paper) be like ? Whats the minimum score for A1 ? and A2 ? Any past experience welcomed :)

I took the exam 4 years ago and I don't feel like there's a point in estimating the scores for A1 and A2. Because afterall, there's the listening comprehension, oral exam and the writing tests (paper 1) which are huge components altogether but you will never know how much you even roughly scored for them.
The bell curve is not bad, it's not difficult to get an A or B3 for MT as I also find that the command of the language among the average people is not strong at all. Thankfully the HMT people are not taking the exam in June. I would say those who can speak Mandarin fluently are the ones who got very high chances of getting A2 at least.
At this point, I find that it would be useless to practise or go through paper 2. I would just read more model essays for the exposition/argumentatives to get more comfortable with the serious tone and chinese-ness. Don't be afraid to re-read the good ones many times. It is supposed to help raise the standard and consistency similar to them as well.
Take down some memorable cheem phrases that can be applied easily to many essays. Remember a few "Su Yu" to end off ur some of your points or your essays decently, and it also helps with the essay length. And of course, don't forget your letter-writing formats.

u shd have asked 2 years ago because language papers cant be prepared only 2 weeks before the paper
if u are taking the mid-year paper, be glad at least there arent those HMT people taking with you as well becos of cos they take all the A1s
this year is on the new syllabus so there is no standard yet (may be good, may be bad)
depends on how the batch performs and how they decide to moderate
for paper 1, safer topic is 公务电邮 and æŠ¥ç« æŠ¥é�“
these generally get better scores for the average student

Aim A2, will usually get B3 and below.. Aim higher bro.
