recommendation for tutor

  Can anyone pls kindly recommend a good tutor for my daughter as she had problem w her
  biology and chemistry works in poly. She does not have any biology background during her secondary school.

  Sounds like your daughter requires a tutor who is proficient at both A level Chemistry *and* A level Biology, *and* it has to be a tutor willing to give 1-on-1 tuition. This is difficult to find for both reasons : at A levels, almost all tutors (at least the good/great ones) specialize in one subject (ie. Chemistry, or Biology, but not both). And almost all tutors (at least the good/great ones), only give group tuition these days, because group tuition is more efficient and worthwhile, for both the tutor and the student (since 1-on-1 tuition will be very expensive for the student, to compensate the tutor for loss of earnings relative to group tuition). Sorry if I'm not directly helping you with your query, but I felt that you should know the truth of the situation.

  Clarification : An exception to the statement I made earlier about "at A levels, good/great tutors specialize in one subject only" could be H2 Physics and H2 Mathematics, as these two subjects are more intimately related to each other (as compared to say, H2 Chemistry and H2 Biology).

  Another way is to consider sourcing for undergraduate tutors who are pursuing related course (Biology/Chemistry-related courses) in university. They might be better equipped to help your daughter out, because poly subjects tend to be a subset of what students are studying in uni.
