Hi.
I am sure everyone knows that in Polytechnic, there is an intake at April every year for students who were accepted into courses through the JAE in January.
Well, I know of a friend who took the O level examinations last year, participated in the JAE this year and was accepted into a Junior College. She is now in a JC and is having a hard time coping with the workload over there, that she wants to change to Poly and pursue a Diploma instead.
However, it seems that the Polytechnics only take in O level holders during JAE period; She might have to wait until next year before she could seek admission into Polytechnic through next year's JAE.
If given the choice, nobody wants to waste time. I doubt she wants to waste this year away and only enter Poly next year during the next round of JAE.
Is there a second intake at the Polytechnics for O level holders to enter Full-Time courses this year?
Actually, I heard before that Polytechnic got another intake in July or September, but when I searched the internet, I could not find anything regarding a second intake.
or is it must personally write in to the Management people of the respective Polytechnics then can enter Polytechnic within this year?
Please advise.
Thank you.
Start with changing your name to something decent. There is usually a second intake.
TP has an October intake but only a few courses are offered for October intake.
Your friend should email the respective poly's Admission Office to see if she could appeal in
