Yea, when I was being nice to someone, they might accuse me of "bootlicking" and having ulterior motives when I was really trying to make their day.

Same here. There was once when I bought something nice for a bloody high cheek bone bitch she accused me of looking down on her and shouted a few times to get me out. After that she went round telling ppl she want me save money not to buy for her. This kind of ill character I completely disassociate with her.
I ate something nice I bought for ex colleague she took it I want favour from her. Sometimes what some ppl say is true trust nobody.
Still have many encounters .......

Interest should always come first. I learned this the hard way. It doesn't matter if they are unhappy/upset/angry or not: my interest comes first. Not you. Unless you support my interest.

The game is not over for me yet. I should try my luck on the private sector if the public sector rejects me. There's still a lot of things I can do and a lot of ways I can start anew.
