Is CS Toh Study Guide better than RJC Lecture Notes?
I don't know if I should purchase RJC lecture notes though.
If you want official RJC material for H2 Chemistry, here's a tip : buy these books (instead of lecture notes).

Personally, I'd recommend you get both CS Toh's books and the RJC books above. That's what I give to all my BedokFunland JC students, plus much more.

Only every alternate batch in RJ (in other words, those batches for which Dr Chan is one of the tutors) uses the lecture notes whose contents are adapted from these two books. Frankly, the books are full of spelling and grammatical errors and I honestly do not recommend them. My batch disliked Dr Chan's notes (and lectures, but that's another matter altogether) a lot due to this.
I may use C S Toh's guide as a first round of studying, as it is simpler. Then, I may purchase RJC lecture notes (lots of good extra info, some came out in recent Cambridge papers) for more in-depth studies. HCI notes are worth a try too. In later part of JC2, you may try McMurry's Organic Chemistry textbook for some university's stuff, as Cambridge has set some university stuff chem materials in their questions too.
Best regards.
I have heard stories of Dr Chan back in my days at RJ lol
Btw, if you talk about Physics notes, I used to think CS Toh guide books were good. But my students disliked it. So now I wrote my own set of notes over the past 3 plus years, modified based on students' feedback. Looking and aiming to publish it this year. Been saying it for a long time but I'm a perfectionist :(
