As mentioned above, may I know which course - Accountancy, International Business, Business studies should I take? I am really unsure which course actually suits me most. Well, I'd want to be an entrepreneur in the future and would most likely live in overseas. Hence, I'd need a job that could actually give me a stable income.
Also, may I know what career is opened for me in the workforce if I were to actually go for International Business or Business Studies? Am I able to work as an accountant in Singapore and overseas if I'm not going for Accountancy?
Thanks in advance!
Any of the courses you mentioned will be able to give you the opportunity to work overseas. To work as an accountant, I think you will need an accoutancy qualification whether it is in Singapore or overseas.
Thanks for the quick reply. Anyways, may I know what kinds of jobs am I opened to if I were to study International Business and Business Studies?
Markerting. Or maybe advertising.
Well I'm really quite new to this. Do you mind explaining what does marketing do?
In marketing you are responsible to tryiing to inform customer about a product you are selling. YOu will also be trying to gain market share (make more customer).
If I were to take Accoutancy, is it possible for me to transit to become an entrepreneur in the future?
@ArJoe, how about overseas universities? How does the system actually work? For example, do they still have gpa and such stuff because I intend to have my uni overseas.
I see... Is it possible to major in other courses except Accountancy after I have completed my diploma? I'm thinking of maybe majoring philosophy or phychology in universities though

Go to a JC if you are intending to go to the workforce. After JC, remember to enter the top 10 univerisities in the world (if you are really intending to work internationally) to give you an advantage over others.
Why? Because there are so many univerisities in this world, employers are spolit of choice of graduates. Going to a poly will not give you a huge advantage compared to other candidates from places like Havard, Cambridge, Yale...etc There are lousy universities that is easy to get in and I won't advise you to waste money on it because going to top univerisities in super important in working for others overseas. Will you rather hired a Cambridge candidate or an Singapore poly grad in a job? Think about it.

If you want to do businessman, please go out and get some real life experiences. Afterall, many of us want prefer to listen to people like Bills Gates, Steve Jobs...etc for advice rather than a graduate from any place.

You don't need any paper to become an entrepreneur.
Wow! Thank you for the imformative reply. Well the thing is, before I get into a university overseas, I'd like to find myself a job first and earn some income to pay for the fees. However, I'm not really sure which path is the most suitable for me at this moment.
wat u study and wat u actually do in future may be mutually exclusive
Yeah, you got a point but out of all the courses mentioned above, which, in your opinion, should I go for in order to 'survive' overseas?
Also, after graduating from JC, what can I do [ job ] at overseas?
Thanks in advance!
JC is better. You can retake your a levels if you failed to get to a university. But for poly, you can't retake anything.
Hmm... what kinds of jobs will I be opened to( in overseas and sg ) if I were to take up JC?

very true...for example you can have electrical engineering degree from newcastle university and master degree from oxford and end up becoming Mr. Bean.
