Hey for those of you who have seen the Emath Paper this year , you will find it easier as compared to past years right ?
Can anybody estimate the bellcurve or any experts here can tell me what's the minimum mark needed to secure an A1 ? Will 92 do ? (Actual 94)
Any suggestions are welcome
Why so much concern with the marks?
You do the best you can, and then accept as best as you must.

Maybe can work as economist or in PMO, but you need at least a 1st class honours in economics? I am not confident of achieving that lol
No?
Econs degree is valued in many industries and in general because of its diversified knowledge base and for analytical research purposes.
At the end of the day, you should learn based on what you want to learn and hunger to.
Not for prospects per se, because these only open up when you can sell yourself to future employers.

Many industries? Examples?
Anything?
For Econs deals very much with statistics, and is applied to much that involves people interactions.
You might find it strange.
But even bus service development with SBS Transit has use for Economics.
If you need more evidence on what I just said, you can look further at the various career sites.

Each year NUS FASS alone produces maybe 200-300 Economics degree-holders, you tell me this course not popular?
*faints*
Yes!
But math in Econs is really only one part of it.
Which unfortunately takes the bulk of teaching here.

AGAIN
job prospects depend very much on YOURSELF.
299 other people from the same uni, havent even talk about NTU/SMU/SIM, how are you gonna differentiate yourself from them?
By extension, what makes a degree-holder such a big f*ck really, if you can't stand out from the rest of the crowd?
Get real!
