SINGAPORE: The results of this year's Singapore-Cambridge GCE Normal (Academic) and (Technical) Level Examinations will be released on December 19.
Students can get their result slips from their schools from 2pm on Thursday, the Ministry of Education said.
Private candidates can get their results from the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) website from 2pm that day, and will also be notified of their results by post.
Students who wish to apply for the various courses offered by the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) will be able to get the application forms from their schools when they collect their results.
In a statement on Monday, the Education Ministry said those who have done well in the examinations may be eligible for the Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP) or the Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP).
Students eligible for DPP will also receive a copy of Form N from their schools, inviting them to apply for the programme.
They should submit their DPP applications online at the DPP application portal between 2pm on December 19 and 5pm on December 23.
The DPP posting results will be released at 9am on December 26.
Students will be notified of their DPP posting results through SMS if they have chosen that option and given the necessary contact details during the DPP application.
They will also be able to check their posting results online at the application portal.
Students need to log on to the DPP application portal between 9am on December 26 and 4pm on December 30 to indicate if they wish to accept or reject the DPP offer.
The ministry said students who reject their DPP offer will need to report back to their secondary schools on 2 January 2014 for their Secondary 5 studies.
Application for PFP will open later in January, on the day when the results of the GCE Ordinary Level Examinations are released.
On that day, students eligible for PFP will receive a copy of Form P, inviting them to apply for the programme.
Students interested in applying to PFP should first start their Secondary 5 studies on January 2 while waiting for the outcome of the PFP posting, said the ministry.
