From nitec direct entry to poly I need at least 3.5
im 3.3 now. And this last semester my module is (IAP)industry attachment.
The credit is 8.
which grade must I get to have at least 3.5 or isit even possible? :/
all As
I think got chance, you need to do something to get an "A" for your industry attachment.
First you need to look at: https://www.ite.edu.sg/wps/portal/!ut/p/c4/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os_hAoxB3IzdTEwMLCwNDA0-zAE8vU9dQR3d_Q_2CbEdFAN0PstE!/
If your credit is 8, and you score "A", you get a grade scale of 4, which leads to Grade point of 8 x 4 = 32.
Semester GPA will be Credit Earned/Credit, which will be 32/8 which will be 4. Cos you only have one module this semester
The above will be your semester GPA
Your worry(and every students') will be calculating your cumulative GPA.
If im not wrong, Cumulative GPA is calculated by: (Summation of total grade points of your ITE years)/(summation of the total credits)
Since 3.3 to 3.5 is a 0.2 increase, i think there is a high chance of possibility.
Even if u maintain at 3.3, you can still appeal into polytechnics, got money sure can study in singapore.
You need to consider all the credit units taken and with grade of respective credit units to compute your CGPA.
Rather than setting a grade for you to get into poly, why not challenge yourself to aim at your "personal best" grade?
