My sympathies and empathies, that no one replied you on your thread, or shared their answers for you to check.
If you like, you can scan your H1 question paper and upload it online, and link the images here on this thread, and I can check your answers for you.
hi How did u get your answers to qs 2 and 12?
as for qs 28, I chose A because arrangement of chromium electronic configuration is as given.
I repeat : if any H1 Chem student (not necessarily the TS) is willing to scan and upload pics of your P1 here, I can check your answers for you.
@Mariogirl19 for qn 2 they asked for the most abundant isotope which is usually the one shown on periodic table. So it should be 39-19=20. I've made the same error as you. My answer is D. I went to google.
As for 12 and 28 I'm not too sure. I'm also a student >.< I'm trying to sent a copy of our paper to Ultima online.

Ok, I'll check my email, and look through the paper later tonight. Will post my answers here by tomorrow (assuming I receive your email without problems).

Very impressive, cucumber13!
You got all correct except Q28!
Q28. correct answer is B
mariogirl19 wrote, "it should be 3d5 4s1 instead of 3d4 4s2"
Actually, it is neither of the above. The correct configuration for Fe2+ is 4s0 3d6 (or 3d6 4s0 if you prefer).
During ionization, electrons are always first removed from the outer 4s subshell, before removing the inner 3d electrons.
Fe : [Ar] 4s2 3d6
Fe+ : [Ar] 4s1 3d6
Fe2+ : [Ar] 4s0 3d6
Fe3+ : [Ar] 4s0 3d5
Edited :
Just noticed you (cucumber13) also posted you had written an incorrect answer for Q2, and only after the paper checked online and realized the error. So your actual A level P1 score should be 28/30 = 93.333% which is still excellent, and which means that (assuming similar performance for your P2) your overall grade for H1 Chemistry is quite easily an A grade.
Congrats and all the best in your future studies and career!

Thank you so much for helping!! I've edited the answer for qn 28 :)
I'm so happy to see this good news after my A levels today ^^
Can somebody send me the link to download the H1 Chemistry 2013 MCQ interested to see the question. Thanks :D
