Emath problem!

  Hi guys, I'm having problem with this particular problem for ages. Please kindly help me, 

  1. The proton, which is found in the nucleus of an atoms, can be pictured as a sphere with a diameter of 1x10 (to the power of negative 6) nanometres.

  A) Express 1x10(power -6) to metres.

  so what i did to solve this problem was 1x10(-6) to 10(-9) for which i will get 1x10(-15) 

  HOWEVER! the answer to this is 1.6x10(-15) based on the answer sheet.

  There appears to be a problem with the answer key.

  No way on earth can the answer have a '1.6' in it.
