Hi all, I'm currently serving my ns. would like to discuss my thoughts with you guys out here regarding my education and career. Hope someone out there could assist me with the following.
I'm considering doing a diploma in kaplan or sim.
The diploma from Kaplan is diploma in banking, securities, investment management it consist a module from cisi. If I choose this course I'll be taking banking and finance from murdoch university.
For sim, I'll be taking diploma in management studies and proceed to Bsc banking & finance in UOL or unisim.
my question is which will be a better path to take? In terms of getting a job. I won't consider local dip or uni as firstly I am not interested in the govt sector and its kindda long as i am 23years old by the time I ord. hope someone can help me out in making the right decision. Thank you.
SIM
I know of UOL graduates doing well in Singapore.
If you are into banking sector , i know citi bank accept any degree from university. there is was even a graduate who major in history employed by them.
Yeah I know. I find it hard to make a choice. As kaplan saves me a lot of time and It's fast. But sim doesn't provide part time dip anymore. School fees wise I save a lot too. really confused lol.
Wondering if there's any kaplan Murdoch university grads here working in the banking sectors here to share with.me their experience.
www.saage.edu.sg/Entry-Criteria-Intakes/525/504/page.html saw this on saa was wondering why their criteria differs so much from sim uol b&f

I have no idea abt the job availaiblity but have you considered PSB too?
Thanks. Hmm why psb? ever since they changed their management i've not considered psb already.
ehh, no idea. No particular reason, I'm also not too familiar with this subject...
I merely attempt to provide alternative shld u require one...
Oh thanks haha. Mdis also no go so left with these lo. but the thing is the course really too short only. otherwise, I feel everything seems good
If you are not concerned about getting an degree but just the qualification in banking, The Institute of Banking & Finance might suited you : http://www.ibf.org.sg
