subject combi for sec 3

I'm currently sec 2 and I have no idea what to take for the subject combi in sec 3. You may think that I'm kiasu or what, but I really need some help. Does subjects taken in sec 3 affect your JC/Poly life a lot? If I go to JC what stream should I take? Science or Arts? I am currently getting Cs for History and Lit. I don't really understand what's happening currently too. If I go to poly, what are my options for my future? Should I go to uni or just start working with the diploma? Please help! Thanks (:
