Does Aftershock Pc laptop lasts longer than 3 years?

Am a media student(editing video, 3d modeling software etc) and also a gamer
Previous laptop is Macbook Pro 2011 15 inch with discrete graphic card, it has kind of slowed down and editing Video as such using Premiere Pro has become very frustating as it keeps hanging and preview always lag quite badly.
So am thinking of getting new ones, but not sure whether to keep using Macbook line as it's quite ex, with the price able to get a good Aftershock pc too.
Know that macbook can last quite long, but if Aftershock can last as long, at least 3 or more years and as stable, then I would really like to know.
Budget is 2.5 k plus minus , screen preference is 15 inch.
Any suggestions guys? Or any other Windows laptop with similar price and can quite long? I took care of laptop quite carefully.

Best for Design stuff is Mac laptop
Best for Game is those like Alien, Aftershock...
If there something is best on both Design and Game, it already dominated the market.. lol. But I suggest you go for Mac. It will goes for long way.
